Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She grew up within a multiethnic household. Her parents are Malaysian and from Sri Lanka. Their father Elroy Fernandez hails from Sri Lanka. Jacqueline is the oldest of two brothers and a younger sister. Due to the war that raged in Sri Lanka that her parents chose to move to Bahrain. The scholarship she received allowed her to study at in the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia after she had completed her schooling in Bahrain. Her passion for different cultures and languages inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz language school, where she improved her French and Arabic in addition to learning Spanish. The crown was awarded to Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and competed at Miss Universe 2006. In 2006, she took home the Miss Sri Lanka title. Then, she stepped into television to host an interview show on Sri Lankan companies known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone's father was a badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been raised both in Copenhagen as well as Bangalore. She played badminton at the national championships while young teenagers, however she decided to give up her sport career to become a model. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. The model is Mangalorean from her birthplace. Padukone Village is situated in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka located in India. Prakash Padukone is her father and was a badminton player of international fame. Her mother is an agent for travel.
